New underwater train to connect Dubai and Mumbai?

Dubai-Mumbai under-sea train: In a major boost for future connectivity and infrastructure development. The UAE is reportedly planning to consider another ambitious project of the future. In the recent development, an under-sea train can run between Dubai and Mumbai is expected to be started in the coming years. According to Khaleej Times, the plan of action for the project has been revealed by Abdullah Alshehi, Managing Director and Chief Consultant of National Advisor Bureau limited.

Alshehi, the founder of consultant firm National Advice Bureau Limited was quoted saying in the report that the underwater rail network will benefit not only UAE-India but also other countries in the region.

This is an idea. We want to connect the India city of Mumbai with Fujairah through an underwater ultra-high speed rail network. This will also boost bilateral trade. This plan needs to be considered from many angles. We will do a feasibility study for the project. If this idea turns into reality, the rail network will be about 2000km long he added.
